It represents the "normal", classic watch and it is almost exclusively used to fulfill the function it is designed for: to show the correct time.
In addition to the minutes and hours hands, this type of watch may also give other information and have different features such as the date, the time zone, the water resistance and many others.
Another fundamental requirement is the movement, the "heart" of the watch. It can be quartz (moved by a battery) or automatic (more valuable, because designed to work through the movement of tiny internal works).
