The G10EL takes the classic G10/General Service field model and adds a revolutionary upgrade: an integrated electro-luminescent (EL) backlight dial. Pressing the button on the case illuminates the entire dial uniformly, making the watch instantly readable even in total darkness, without the need for recharging the lume.

Rather than relying solely on luminous paint (such as Luminova or GTLS tritium tubes), the G10EL dial uses a thin electro-luminescent panel positioned behind or integrated into the dial. When turned on, it emits a uniform light across its entire surface, making the numbers and indices visible even in low-light or total darkness.

Designed for practicality and reliability, the G10EL combines the proven Seiko quartz movement with a sturdy stainless steel construction and a water-resistant design.
